This video will absolutely mark the most appropriate return ever of the OV Sports YouTopia, but it is too good not to put on the main page. (courtesy of Chris Tanzola)
(I'm mad at myself for not posting this until now, I really did see the goal like 2 weeks ago, before it got around on to ESPN, TSN etc, but for anyone who hasn't sen it yet...you need to)
Per request, here is the video of the epic Jordin Tootoo-Brad Staubitz murde-- er, uh..fight. I was at this game, and Brad Staubitz became an instant fan favorite. It really was about as loud as that building gets (something I made a fair contribution to). He also played 6 minutes and was named second star.
We are coming at you with a theme tonight, and it is that you cannot put your head down around defensemen who love spin moves...
So here are two um...let's say "dressed up" clips of two of the larger hits in recent memory.
(i get chills from that one btw)
(the spoof thing is a little bit lame, but it was the only clip I could find of this hit)
Both extremely skilled defensemen....another example of hockey player being the most skilled athletes in the world (also becuase Umberger and Prucha can still, you know...walk)
The Sniper versus the playmaker...trash talking at it's best
(by the way, I love Crosby as much as the next heterosexual male hockey fan, but I can't help but find it hilarious how much he comes off as a spoiled little (rhymes with switch) in pretty much every altercation he gets into...my point? I have none, enjoy the clip)
The First video here at the OVSYTHOF (I'll work on that, I promise) comes to us from someone who will be a frequent contributer, Pavel Bure. Bure was the best hockey player in the history of the world. While that may not be true, this video is sure to convince you he is or your money back (becuase it is free...see what I did there?). Enjoy...
By the way, If you just stumbled upon this, and are looking for an explaination, there is one at the OV Sports mothership, ovsports.blogspot.com, please check that one out.
